Hepatitis Prevention
Project Title – To eliminate viral hepatitis, build civil society capacity through Advocacy, Awareness and Education Campaign.
Background :
Hepatitis is a serious liver inflammation. The burden of illness and mortality caused by this hepatitis virus has the potential to spread as an epidemic. Hepatitis can affect anyone, but it has a disproportionate effect on the people and communities most underserved by health systems. Every 30 seconds in the world, someone dies from an illness related to viral hepatitis. So it is a concerted effort to eradicate viral Hepatitis.
Objective: Integrated education, awareness and health system development will lead to the creation of a viral Hepatitis free society where the equal rights of all communities including people with hepatitis are protected.
Method’s:
- Skilled master trainers were developed.
- Elimination of viral hepatitis was promoted through interpersonal counseling.
- Self- capacity of local and national networks to eliminate viral hepatitis was enhanced.
Out Come:
- Everyone’s level of Knowledge and skills are increasing.
- Awareness and abilities Increase.
- Local, National and International Networks are Strengthened.
- Knowledge about viral hepatitis transmission and prevention is increasing.
Conclusion:
All stakeholders use their expertise to eradicate viral hepatitis and work together in their respective positions to contribute to the eradication of hepatitis. Visual methods are therefore important methods for raising Awareness and support. Easy ways to give correct information related to their lifestyle.
Besides regular orientation will be given to Grassroots community in the working area, Religious leaders, Village Chairman- members and leaders, Governments officials, School Teachers, others stakeholders on their role in viral hepatitis eradication. Moreover, by sharing experience with like-minded NGOs and civil society making a joint network with them, The Network will be played role to prevent viral hepatitis through various campaigns: Courtyard meeting , miking , discussion, World Hepatitis Day campaign , rally, meeting and shear with others stakeholders etc. These activities aim to contribute to the elimination of viral hepatitis by 2030.
