SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT & SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOODS

Poverty is the crucial problem in the country. More than 50% of the population of the country is under the poverty line. People are suffering from a vicious circle of poverty because of the overall socio-economic scenario and management system of the country. Natural disasters, social instability, lack of natural resources, over population, unemployment etc are the major threats to economic growth of the country. The jeopardizing challenge today is to assist large numbers of people in developing countries like Bangladesh to have a meaningful livelihood which sustains them to live with prosperity and dignity.

Goal

To ensure economic security, sustainable development and empowerment of the underprivileged people through increasing income, employment opportunity, micro-enterprise development and capacity building.

Objectives

  1. To reform the socio-economic ecosystem of society.
  2. To enhance alternative income generating activities (AIGA).
  3. To build capacity of marginalized people and            
  4. To increase social leadership and empower the women.
