Chief Executive Officer

I am Mohammed Mahabubur Rahman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – of BARNALY, “Social Change for Sustainable Development ” (www.barnaly.org) a registered Non-Government voluntary social development organization in Chattogram, Bangladesh.

Chattogram being the port city and commercial capital city of Bangladesh, 

I started my career in 1985 as a grassroots activist with the commitment to bring about positive changes among vulnerable people especially youth groups. In different capacities, I have been engaged with various National & International development Organization, Forum and Networks such as founder member of one International English medium School; Divisional Member Secretary of Voices of America Fan Club; Member of International Association for Volunteer Effort (IAVE)-USA, World Assembly of Youth , International Society of Substance Use Professionals ( ISSUP), Mental Health Innovation Network ( MHiN), Urban Social Work-Bangladesh, Life Member of some Hospital in Bangladesh and President of National Disabled Sports society in Chittagong, Bangladesh.

I have actively participated in different International conferences and seminars, workshops in Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Philippines, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Laos, Singapore, and Sweden. I have specialization in the field of Youth Engagement, Campaign program, GO-NGO Collaboration & Networking, Team building, Conflict Management and Negotiation.

I had the opportunity to work on the specific issues of Anti-Drug, Anti Alcohol, HIV/AIDS prevention program, Anti-corruption, Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Domestic violence, Child Rights, Anti-Tobacco, Women Rights, Rights of Ethnic Minorities, Youth Development etc. I obtained my Post-Graduation Degree in Sociology from Chittagong University, Bangladesh. I have also received different National and International Training on Development issues.
